Frequently Asked Questions
Are macarons cookies? Are they cake? Are they pastries? Honestly, everyone says something different. Either way, macarons are unique, sweet, and the perfect treat for any occasion. They are made with almond flour, sugar, and egg whites, which gives them their delicate, but chewy shell. So, who cares what they are called when they taste so good?
Macarons and Macaroons are two totally different desserts, but their names are mixed up all the time. I make macar-ON-s, and the coconut treats are macar-OOOOOOOOOON-s. That's really the only way I can describe it ;-)
Once I receive your order, I will email you with your total. You will then pay with Venmo or Zelle. If you need to pay with cash, we will do then when we meet for delivery. Also, if you are paying with cash, please show up to get your order or email me if you can't make it. I put a lot of time into making each order perfect and I'm trusting that you'll pay me, so please be respectful and communicate. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk ;-)
Trust me...I get it. I thought the same thing when I saw them for the first time too. BUT...these macarons are not your every day treat. They can be super hard to find...until now. Prices for ingredients have been rising quickly (EGGS WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME), so I need to cover my costs somehow. Not to mention, their taste and texture is something that is so different than anything you've ever eaten. Each batch takes multiple hours to prep, bake, and decorate. Not to mention how challenging these bad boys are to get right. You would be surprised how many things can go wrong along the way. But, I have never enjoyed baking something as much as I enjoy baking macarons. Also, when you buy your typical macaron, it's usually not decorated with much. I love to let my creative juices flow and create macarons that not only taste delicious, but look amazing. You are getting so much more than a simple macaron. Take a look at the pictures to see what I mean ;-) I promise you won't be disappointed!
Each order of macarons is made to order. Therefore, it will take a few days to get your order to you depending on how many current orders I have. However, if you need your macarons for a specific date, please add that information to the order page and I will do my best to get them to you. Rush orders (less than 48 hours notice) will have an additional charge. I promise I will do everything I can to get your order to you when you need it!
Yes! I actually only deliver. I will deliver to Surprise and for an extra charge, parts of Sun City, El Mirage, Glendale & Peoria (price determined by location). If you live outside of the delivery area, you will have to travel to Surprise and I will meet you. Trust me, it's worth it!!!
You will choose "custom order" for each section on the order page then put all the details in the box at the bottom of the page. For example, in the details box, you would write:
Single: Cookies & Cream
Single: Chocolate Ganache
6 Pack: Vanilla & Churro
I know it's a pain, but I'm a macaron master, not a master of technology.
YES! Well, mostly yes. As long as necessary ingredients and/or decor is available, I will make it happen! These are the perfect treat for birthdays, baby showers, engagement parties/bridal showers, weddings, holidays, realtor gifts (to give to clients), and to sit on the couch and watch Netflix while you eat the entire box. Since macarons aren't a very common dessert, this is your chance to impress! And trust me, you will. Everyone does cakes and cookies for parties, so it's your time to be unique!
Yes! If you need your order within 48 hours, I will do my best to make it happen for an additional charge. However, custom orders cannot be guaranteed in that amount of time depending on current orders. If you have a custom order you need within 48 hours, fill out the order form and specify that in the details section. I will call you and discuss what I can do for you.
Since each batch is made to order and the cost of ingredients is high, orders cannot be cancelled. I pour my heart into each batch, so please make sure you don't click the order button unless you are absolutely sure you want to order the best dessert you've ever had ;-)
Macarons are best enjoyed after sitting out at room temperature for about 20 minutes (depending on how warm it is). You can eat them right from the fridge if you're like me and have no patience, but they won't be as soft and chewy.
Macarons should be kept in the refrigerator in an air tight container until about 20 minutes before you are ready to dig in.
Macarons are made using almond flour, confectioner's sugar, egg whites, vanilla, and granulated sugar. The fillings are made with real cream, butter, and milk.
The short answer is no. The macaron shells themselves are gluten-free, but the fillings may not be. They are made in a kitchen that produces products that contain gluten, so to be safe, let's say they are not gluten-free.
The main ingredient in macarons is almond flour. If you have nut/tree nut allergies, please do not consume this product. Additionally, these macarons are made in a kitchen that produces food using common allergens.
Macarons will last for about 7 days in the fridge (from production date) as long as they are stored properly (air tight container kept in fridge). You can freeze them too, but the fillings may not be as smooth and creamy as they normally would be.
New flavors will be introduced once a month. Hey, I'd like to be super cool and change flavors every week, but I have a toddler...enough said. If there is a specific flavor you would like to see on a future menu, send me an email at baddestbatchmacarons@gmail.com. Also, you can place a custom order for a specific flavor you just can't wait for!
